Some Web References for Arthropod Information

There are a number of internet sites devoted to arthropods. The nature of the internet is such however that sites come and go - some new sites may be available and some of the ones listed here may have moved or ceased operation at the time you access these. With that in mind the following web sites were working as of August 2006.

If you are looking for something order specific try the Entomology Index of Internet Resources first. If you are looking for information on specific arthropods conduct web searches (using one of the search engines) with both the scientific names and any English equivalents. Not all sites will be indexed with all possible names.

Note: No attempt has been made to make this list complete! The best such list would be the Entomology Index of Internet Resources.

Note: Any list of arthropod species that you find will most likely be incomplete just due to the limited work that has been done and the small number of individuals involved.

Excluding the link for the Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center which leads to an information page with external links, the links on this page are external to this site.
