Insect Display Case in the Visitor Center at Pine Springs

This species may or may not be or have been present in the Park. It is included here solely because there is a specimen with no collection information in the display case in the Visitor Center. There is no specimen in the Museum and I did come across it in the Park during the summer of 2001. (I did not come across it during my 2003 visit either, but I was not in suitable habitat.)

American Rubyspots were common at Rattlesnake Springs in Carlsbad Caverns National Park on 2001 June 26. No Rubyspots were found in the same area in August or September of 2003.
